Spring is Coming REALLY!!
This Winter seems to be going on forever but as each day passes we get closer to Spring. It'll be here, it comes every year. Here at SGMC we've put away all the snowmen, snow flakes and any last sign of Winter (if you see any that we missed when you come in, let us know) and you are now seeing the bright pastel colors that are the colors of Spring. You can get Spring started early in your home too! We have lots of Spring wreaths and florals to make the inside of your home look like Spring. And be sure to visit often since we are getting new things in almost constantly.

Could you use an inverter?
I guess before you can answer the question, "Could you use an inverter?" you need to understand what an inverter is and does. Basically an inverter converts 12V DC power into 120V AC power. Any light bulbs go on yet? If you're thinking that hey my car has 12V DC outlets and if I had 120V AC power in my car I could plug in things that I could only normally plug in in the house, you're right. Say you had a radio that was only powered by plugging it into an AC wall outlet, with an inverter you can now use it in the car. Get the idea? Just about anything that you can plug in in the house can be powered in the car with some limits of course.
Inverters come with different wattage ratings and you need to select an inverter that is rated high enough to power what you want to power. Inverters also come with many safety features. One safety feature shuts off the inverter when the voltage of your car battery drops below usually 10V. This is to insure that you have enough voltage in your battery to still start your car. The other common safety feature is that if you plug something into an inverter that draws more wattage than it's rated for it will simply shut off.
